On the afternoon of April15, 2024, the promotion meeting for talent cultivation in the automotiveservice engineering industry was successfully held at 8B604 of theTransportation Building. The meeting was attended by Fang Yu, the director ofthe institute, Huang Zhongzi, the deputy secretary, the leadership group forthe automotive service engineering industry at Shanghai Urban Science andTechnology School, relevant personnel from the automotive service engineeringdepartment, and counselors. The meeting was chaired by Fang Yu, the dean of theSchool of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering.
Dean Fang Yu warmlywelcomes the arrival of the leadership group of Shanghai Urban Science andTechnology School. The meeting mainly discussed the aspects of studentcultivation, employment, and solutions related to the integration of studentwork between universities and colleges. Dong Chunliang, the student counselorin charge of the college, and Huang Xiaoci, the head of the Department ofAutomotive Service Engineering, gave detailed reports based on the abovecontent, and proposed coordination measures and plans in conjunction with somestudent issues to jointly promote the orderly development of the next stage ofemployment work. Teachers Huang Chao, Yang Fei, Wu Jianguo, Gu Hong, and othersfrom Shanghai City University of Science and Technology introduced theenrollment situation, training process, and results of students in the middleand undergraduate education, and explained the measures taken by the school toenhance students' interests, such as parent teacher conferences, revisedtraining plans, and strengthened student basic subject learning programs. ChenLei, Dean of Shanghai University of Urban Science and Technology, proposed theidea of integrating Chinese universities and jointly building Chineseuniversities. Corresponding measures were provided from the aspects ofemployment tracking, paying attention to delayed graduation students, andenhancing students' learning level and interest. This will further coordinateand improve the training plan for Chinese university students and promote theimplementation of work.
Dean Fang Yu of the Schoolof Mechanical and Automotive Engineering summarized his speech, emphasizing theexpectations related to talent cultivation for students in the China Universityof Science and Technology program. He proposed requirements for the next stageof China University of Science and Technology program, including the transitionto section exams and teaching work. He emphasized the need to strengthencollaboration and cooperation between the two schools, further consolidate thetalent cultivation community between the two schools through this meeting,enhance mutual assistance and support from various departments of both schools,and continuously improve communication and exchange mechanisms between the twoschools. Regular reviews and summaries should be conducted to promote mutualprogress.
